This Bi-Black Sheltie is
named Suzie and is owned
by club Member Betty S.
Suzie is pictured above
at 9 years and 6 moths
of age, vacationing at
one of her favourite
resorts, Clear Lake,
Manitoba.
Suzie is an incredible
dog and has been
Betty's most constant
companion for the past 9
years and 8 months.
They have done so many
different things
together; conformation,
obedience, rally, both CKC and CARO, herding,
agility and have even
played around with free
style, of which Betty says
Suzie is way more
coordinated than her
human partner!
Suzie also does a
variety of
tricks. Taking long
walks in the park with
friends is probably one
of their favourite
things to do together,
as well as hunting for
squirrels and bunnies of
course! She also
loves to catch bubbles
and run through the
sprinkler. Because she
likes to keep busy and
doesn’t like to leave
Betty's side she has
learned to help her
around the
house. Without being
asked Suzie will put all
the dog dishes in the
dishwasher after supper,
puts all the recycling
in the recycle box, puts
the socks in the washer
and dryer, brings Betty
her keys and cell phone
when it rings along with
any other item Betty asks
her for.
Suzie was a great
playmate for Betty's
daughter when she was
younger and would join
in any game she wanted
to play, including dress
up! Suzie is a big
sister to 6 year old
Sully and 3 month old
Quinn. Betty calls her
the patient one, but not
always! But if someone
cries she is the first
one there to check it
out.
