WASSA Trophies and Awards
Each year, Wassa offers a number of trophies and awards to its members in recognition of their achievements with their Shelties.
Whether through award certificates, yearly trophies for our top conformation and obedience dogs, or perpetual trophies for our top winners at our specialty, WASSA
is continually reviewing the offering of additional
versatility trophies and keepsakes to recognize member achievements in
different areas of competition.

The WASSA Top Conformation Dog
The WASSA Challenge Trophy
In 1991, WASSA offered a challenge trophy whereby a Virginia Perry Gardiner Limited Edition Cast Foundry Bronze Sculpture of a Sheltie would be awarded to the person who has won the WASSA Specialty three times. In November 2007, Simone Rudolph of Glamoor Shelties won this prestigious award, almost 17 years after it was first offered! Congratulations Simone!
In 2008, WASSA is once again proud to offer a new challenge trophy - a limited edition cast in foundry bronze of a sheltie mother and pups at play by artist Rick Lingenfelter. This beautiful bronze, pictured below, is number 3 of a strictly limited 15 piece edition, after which the mold was destroyed, thereby ensuring the rarity of this issue. We are currently in the process of reviewing the awarding and eligibility for this new challenge trophy.
